About Us

Who we are, and what we are here for

Ask us to pray for you

Here, at Moston, we believe that prayer is one of the most important aspects of our faith. We pray regularly for concerns not only within our own congregation and local community, but also for concerns all over the world; for people known to us, and those unfamiliar, but still in need of our prayers.

If you would like us to pray for you, fill in the form below and we will include your concerns in our prayers. It helps us, when praying for you, to know your name and where in the world you live — but if you would rather not give your name, simply tell us a little about the situation instead.

What you send comes to the church and is shared only with those who pray. If you leave us an email address, you will get a note back confirming that your request has reached us.

    Who we are

We are a Methodist congregation at the heart of Moston, and we have been part of the life of this neighbourhood for over sixty years. Sunday by Sunday we gather to worship, and through the week we open our doors to the community around us.

Whether you have been coming for years, are exploring faith for the first time, or are simply looking for a church to call home, there is a place for you here. Come as you are — and stay for a brew afterwards.

What our church is here for

The policy of Moston Methodist Church, agreed by the church council, is set out in six aims.

    • To provide a centre for Christian worship, fellowship and service.
    • To share the good news of the love of God in Jesus, through our words and actions.
    • To nurture, educate, train, encourage and support our people in the Christian faith and in Christian responsibility.
    • To encourage and support the minister and laity where they are involved in the broader Christian mission.
    • To support the wider work of the Church in the world, and any ecumenical initiatives.
    • To develop ways of working in partnership with our community.

    Come and see us

You will find us on the corner of Ilkley Street and Moston Lane, and you are welcome at any of our services. If there is anything you would like to ask first, we would love to hear from you.
