The current organ was installed by Makin Organ Builders in 1982 and replaced an ageing pipe organ which had come to the end of its’ working life. The pipe organ was dismantled a few years later with the better pipework going to Carnforth Methodist Church who, at that time, were building their own organ.
The current organ is a 2 manual electric instrument and is versatile enough to be able to lead the congregation both for traditional hymn singing and the more modern worship songs.
